Installation Guide – Bose Wave Radio
KIT CONTENTS
• 4 Replacement Anchors
• 4 Mounting Screws
TOOLS REQUIRED
• Phillips screwdriver or drill
• Isopropyl alcohol (recommended)
• Cotton swab or cloth
IMPORTANT
Disconnect the radio from power before beginning. Work on a clean, flat surface.
INSTALLATION STEPS
1. OPEN THE RADIO
Remove the screws from the bottom of the radio and carefully separate the housing.
2. LOCATE THE BROKEN SCREW MOUNTS
Inside the radio you will see the original plastic screw posts. If they are cracked or broken, remove any loose plastic pieces.
3. CLEAN THE MOUNTING AREA
For best adhesion, it’s very important to properly clean the area where the replacement anchor will be installed using isopropyl alcohol. Use a cotton swab or cloth to remove dust, oils, or debris. Allow the surface to fully dry before installing the anchor.
4. INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT ANCHOR
Place the replacement anchor in the location where the original screw mount was located. Align it with the vertical strip leftover from the original screw mount so the screw hole lines up with the existing hole in the housing.
Press the anchor firmly into place and hold pressure for several seconds to ensure a strong bond.
5. ALLOW ADHESIVE TO SET
For best results, allow the anchor time to properly bond before installing the screw. Waiting several minutes to an hour before reinstalling screws is recommended.
6. INSTALL THE SCREW
Once all anchors are installed, carefully reassemble the housing. Insert the included screws through the housing and tighten into the replacement anchor.
Do not overtighten. Tighten only until secure.
TIPS
• The screws are forming new threads in the replacement anchors so they may have resistance when installing, this is normal.
• Tighten screws evenly when reassembling the radio.
• Proper surface cleaning greatly improves adhesion strength.
